Philosophy Meets Practice

Erina Kaplun is a writer, educator, and co-founder of BDSM Authority, a premium store specializing in BDSM furniture and restraint equipment for consenting adults. With a Master’s degree in Arts, she brings a background in philosophy, psychology, and the study of human behavior to content that treats the subject with the seriousness and nuance it deserves.

As co-founder, Erina has been directly involved in product curation, supplier evaluation, and safety standards governing every piece of equipment the store carries. Her writing is grounded in real product research: when she discusses weight ratings, frame construction, or material durability, it reflects hands-on evaluation, not surface-level summaries. The same applies to her coverage of bondage benches, BDSM cages, and dungeon equipment setups.

She is the creator of the Harmonism Concept and co-creator of the EK Method, practical frameworks that inform how she approaches every topic: not from ideology, but from lived experience and careful thinking. Much of that same thinking shapes the BDSM Authority music project, a creative extension of her work for the store.
